Meta Muse Spaces Lets Users Build Custom AI Planners and Trackers

Meta has introduced Spaces for its Muse AI assistant, letting users create personalized planners, trackers, and project boards through conversational prompts. The feature supports connected apps and automatic information updates, with availability expanding across existing Muse markets.

Meta Muse Spaces is a new feature for Muse, the personal AI assistant developed by Facebook and Instagram parent Meta Platforms. Introduced Nov. 6, 2026, Spaces lets users create custom planners, trackers and interactive projects through simple chat instructions.

The feature organizes projects into separate workspaces within the Muse interface. Each Space focuses on a specific goal, letting users return to previous tasks without restarting conversations.

Meta Muse Spaces Turn Chat Into Custom Tools

Spaces can help users plan vacations, track holiday gifts, organize weddings and manage home improvement projects. Meta also suggests using the feature to collect recipes, create games and build personal dashboards.

Users describe what they need, and Muse builds a customized experience. Depending on the request, it can create a tracker, planner or project board.

For example, someone planning a vacation could create a dedicated Space for travel arrangements. Another user could organize recipes and preparations for a family gathering. Both projects would remain accessible through the Muse sidebar.

Meta describes these workspaces as custom experiences rather than ordinary chat conversations. The distinction is that each Space provides a dedicated environment for an ongoing project.

Connected Apps Can Update Spaces Automatically

Spaces also support integration with third-party applications and external information sources. Meta says these connections can keep projects updated without requiring users to request new information repeatedly.

For example, an event tracker could display updated concert dates. Shopping planners could reflect product price changes, while financial trackers could show progress toward savings goals.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg demonstrated the feature in a post on X. He shared examples of a barbecue game, an event tracker and a home control dashboard built using Muse.

The examples illustrate how Spaces can support both practical activities and personalized interactive experiences. However, available functions may depend on the applications and data sources connected to each project.

Meta Expands Muse With Voice and Project Features

Spaces is Meta’s second major Muse update in a week. On Nov. 5, the company introduced Muse Voice, allowing users to communicate with animated AI avatars through video conversations.

Muse agents first launched in September with animated characters designed to make AI interactions more personal. Meta has since expanded their capabilities beyond conversational assistance.

During the company’s October earnings call, Zuckerberg reported 10 million Muse users across the United States and Canada. The milestone came less than two months after the agents debuted.

Shopping has also emerged as a popular use case. As Fortune reported, growing transaction activity prompted Meta and payment processor Stripe to increase spending limits.

Meta faces competition from other personalized AI agents, including OpenAI’s Dots and SpaceXAI’s Grokbot. Both services also use animated characters to make AI experiences more approachable.

With Spaces, Meta is extending Muse beyond individual conversations into ongoing project management. The feature lets users organize tasks and related information within the same AI assistant.
