Revolut $115 Billion Valuation Confirmed as US Bank Launch Nears

Revolut’s valuation has climbed 53% to $115 billion following a secondary share sale backed by major investors. The British fintech is preparing to launch a US bank in 2027 while expanding its international banking operations and business services.

Revolut’s $115 billion valuation marks a 53% increase from 2025, following a secondary share sale. The British fintech is also preparing to launch a US bank in 2027, subject to final regulatory approval.

Investors leading the transaction included Glade Brook Capital Partners, Coatue, Durable Capital Partners, T. Rowe Price Associates and Baillie Gifford. Existing shareholders sold stock, so Revolut received no new capital. The company did not disclose the transaction’s total value.

Founded in 2015 by Nik Storonsky and Vlad Yatsenko, Revolut now serves more than 80 million retail customers across over 40 countries. The London-based company has expanded from money transfers into consumer banking, payments and business financial services.

US Banking Expansion Follows Revolut $115 Billion Valuation

Revolut plans to establish its US bank during the first half of 2027. The company received conditional approval for a national banking charter from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in September. Final authorization is still required.

Its international expansion has also accelerated. Revolut launched banks in the UK, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand during 2026. It also secured banking licenses in France, Colombia and Argentina.

The company began introducing financial services to selected Indian customers earlier this year, ahead of a wider rollout.

Business Banking Drives Revenue Growth

Revolut reported $6 billion in revenue for 2025, with a pretax profit margin of 38%. Its business banking division now accounts for approximately 20% of gross profit.

Revolut Business processes more than £36 billion ($48.6 billion) in monthly transactions, including over £1 billion ($1.35 billion) in the US. The division generates more than £950 million ($1.28 billion) in annualized revenue. Customer deposits exceed £18 billion ($24.3 billion).

James Gibson, head of Revolut Business, said the company is considering expansion into Mexico, Brazil and India. No launch dates were announced. Revolut also aims to increase its business customer base from over 800,000 to 1 million by 2027.

Nearly half of new US customers joining Revolut Business are newly incorporated companies, the company says.

Revolut Weighs a Future IPO

The higher valuation comes as Revolut considers an initial public offering. Storonsky has explored a dual listing in New York and London, preferring a primary US listing.

Reports suggest a future IPO could value Revolut at about $200 billion. However, a listing is not expected before 2028 and would depend on market conditions.

Revolut remains privately held. Its immediate priority is securing final approval for its US banking operations while expanding its international consumer and business services.
