Titan OS $46 million funding will support the Barcelona-based company’s international expansion and development of its smart TV operating system. The financing combines equity from existing investors with debt facilities provided by funds and accounts managed by BlackRock.
Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners participated in the round, bringing Titan OS’s total funding to $110 million. The company previously secured approximately $58 million in 2025.
Titan OS said it could have continued expanding without additional financing but chose to accelerate partnerships and enter new markets. Its platform now reaches 30 million users, up from 18 million last year.
Titan OS Expands Smart TV Manufacturer Partnerships
Titan OS provides television manufacturers with an operating system that generates revenue beyond the initial hardware sale. Its business model combines advertising placements, content partnerships and free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels.
The company has expanded its manufacturer network to include Sharp, AOC, Vestel and Skyworth. It also maintains partnerships with Philips and advertising relationships involving TiVo and Tubi.
Philips has adopted Titan OS across its 2026 television lineup, replacing Google TV on newer models. FlatpanelsHD’s television industry reporting has also covered the transition.
The broader distribution network lets Titan OS reach more viewers and gives advertisers access to additional markets. Manufacturers can also earn recurring revenue through advertising arrangements after selling their televisions.
AI to Improve Content Discovery and Advertising
Titan OS plans to invest in artificial intelligence to help viewers find programs across streaming services. The company is developing interface improvements and expanding partnerships with content providers, including FAST channel operators.
Unlike platforms that operate their own major content services, Titan OS positions itself as an independent discovery system. It aims to recommend programming across different providers without prioritizing a proprietary streaming catalog.
The company is also applying AI to advertising recommendations and audience segmentation. These capabilities are intended to help advertisers deliver more relevant campaigns across its connected TV network.
Rising Hardware Costs Create New Opportunities
Titan OS sees growing demand from television manufacturers seeking revenue beyond hardware sales. Rising component costs, partly linked to demand from the AI industry, have added pressure to already narrow hardware margins.
Chief Financial Officer Hyoung-Ung Kim said manufacturers increasingly value software partnerships that provide recurring advertising income. The company believes this model could attract additional television brands.
Titan OS has also expanded its workforce to approximately 250 employees and opened a London office focused on advertising. It maintains operations in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Taipei.
The new financing will support additional manufacturer partnerships, international expansion and product development. Titan OS must also compete with established smart TV platforms while demonstrating that its growing audience can generate sustainable advertising revenue.
