Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch Deal Drops Price to $39.88

Walmart has discounted the digital edition of Pikmin 4 to $39.88, saving players more than $20. Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 Edition launches November 12 with improved visuals, voice commands, and Dandori Academy, with a $10 upgrade available to existing owners.

The Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch deal has reduced the game’s digital edition to $39.88 at Walmart, down from its regular $59.99 price. That saves buyers $20.11 ahead of Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 upgrade. The timing is particularly useful for players planning to move to the newer console.

Nintendo will release Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy on November 12, 2026. Existing owners can buy a $10 upgrade instead of the full $69.99 edition. Together, Walmart’s discounted game and the upgrade would cost $49.88, saving approximately $20 compared with the full Switch 2 release.

Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch Deal Cuts Price by More Than $20

Walmart’s digital game listing shows Pikmin 4 at $39.88, representing a discount of roughly 34%. The game is delivered digitally, so buyers can redeem it without waiting for a physical cartridge. Prices and availability may change.

Originally released in 2023, Pikmin 4 combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and real-time strategy. Players command small plantlike creatures with different abilities to navigate environments, collect treasures, and overcome obstacles.

The game also introduces Oatchi, a canine companion who can carry objects, transport Pikmin, and help during exploration. His abilities add another layer to the familiar formula, allowing players to approach puzzles and combat encounters in different ways.

The discount arrives alongside other Nintendo game promotions. TechAmerica.ai recently covered a Pokémon Legends: Z-A discount, highlighting another opportunity for Switch owners to purchase a major Nintendo title below its usual price.

What the Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade Adds

Nintendo’s upcoming Pikmin 4 upgrade pack introduces improved visuals, additional gameplay challenges, and new controls. The enhanced edition supports sharper graphics in handheld and television modes.

The biggest addition is Dandori Academy, a challenge mode built around efficiently collecting treasures and completing objectives. Nintendo plans to release 72 stages over time, with different difficulty levels and medals awarded for successful performances.

Players can also give Oatchi voice commands using the Nintendo Switch 2’s built-in microphone. This provides another way to direct the companion during exploration.

Multiplayer receives an improvement through GameShare. Friends can join Dandori Battles without owning a copy of the game. Supported sessions work locally or online through GameChat, although online participation has additional requirements.

Nintendo’s official Switch 2 Edition listing confirms the November 12 release and the expanded features.

Is Buying Pikmin 4 Before the Upgrade Worth It?

The discounted Switch version offers a practical option for players who want to start immediately. They can enjoy the original game now and purchase the upgrade when it becomes available.

The combined $49.88 cost is lower than the $69.99 standalone Switch 2 Edition. However, the $10 upgrade requires ownership of Pikmin 4 and a Nintendo Switch 2 to access its additional features.

Existing owners have little reason to buy another copy. They can purchase the upgrade separately and retain access to the original adventure.

For newcomers, Walmart’s $39.88 offer provides a relatively inexpensive entry into the series. The forthcoming Dandori Academy challenges, upgraded visuals, and voice controls also give Switch 2 owners reasons to revisit the game. Buyers should confirm the retailer’s price before checkout, as promotional discounts can change without notice.
