Everything New Coming to Meta’s AI Agent Muse

Meta is expanding its Muse personal AI agent with new features designed to make the assistant more useful across devices, apps, and everyday tasks.

The company introduced new Muse capabilities during its Connect event, building on the AI agent launched earlier this month. Meta describes Muse as a personal AI assistant designed to help users automate tasks across their digital lives.

Muse Gets a Digital Avatar

One of Meta’s new additions is a realtime digital avatar for Muse. Users can create a visual identity for their AI assistant and interact with it through video conversations.

Meta says the Muse Realtime Avatar model powers the feature, giving the previously text-based AI assistant a face, voice, and more interactive experience.

Muse Comes to Meta Smart Glasses

Meta is also bringing Muse integration to its smart glasses lineup. Users can activate the assistant with voice commands and ask it to complete tasks while wearing the glasses.

Meta says Muse will help with activities such as personalised workouts, meal tracking, appointment booking, and product purchases. The company plans to release the feature in the coming months.

Muse Expands to Mac and Email

Meta is developing computer-use features that will allow Muse to perform tasks on Mac computers. Similar to other AI agents, Muse will be able to interact with desktop applications and complete assigned workflows.

The company is also working on giving Muse its own email address, allowing users to add the agent to email conversations or forward messages for it to handle.

Shopping and App Connections

Meta is adding more shopping partnerships and connectors to expand what Muse can do. The company has partnered with platforms including Shopify and Stripe and is also adding support for services such as PayPal.

Muse will connect with retailers and services including Best Buy, Gap, Sephora, Walmart, Wayfair, Expedia, and Instacart. Meta is also opening its platform to let developers create additional connectors.

The expansion shows Meta’s broader effort to make Muse a central AI assistant across devices, online services, and daily activities.
