German startup Passionfroot has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Insight Partners as it looks to expand its B2B creator marketplace into the United States and strengthen its artificial intelligence-powered marketing platform. The Berlin-based company said the new investment will support international expansion, new hiring and continued development of AI tools for brands and creators.

Founded to connect B2B creators with businesses, Passionfroot operates a marketplace that helps companies discover industry experts who create content across platforms such as LinkedIn, newsletters and podcasts. The company believes demand for specialised creators is increasing as AI makes software products easier to build and intensifies competition for customer attention.

Expansion plans target the U.S. market.

As part of its growth strategy, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Jen Phan is relocating to New York, where Passionfroot is opening its first U.S. office. The startup is also establishing a presence in São Paulo while expanding its team beyond its current workforce of 15 employees.

Insight Partners Managing Director Rebecca Liu-Doyle said AI is changing how B2B companies market their products, creating greater demand for creators who can educate customers and build trust through specialised content. She added that Passionfroot is well positioned because it serves both brands seeking visibility and creators with deep industry expertise.

Revenue growth and AI marketing tools

Passionfroot said its revenue increased 13-fold over the past year while adding customers including ElevenLabs, Figma, Replit, Framer and Gamma. Since its previous funding round in 2024, the company has also launched an AI agent called Zest that helps businesses plan, execute and measure creator marketing campaigns.

Zest can recommend suitable creators both within and outside Passionfroot’s marketplace by analysing campaign objectives and marketing strategies. The platform also uses a proprietary creator graph built from thousands of campaigns to evaluate creator reach and performance.

In addition, Passionfroot offers a payment wallet that enables companies to compensate creators globally while tracking campaign spending. The startup said it has paid more than $10 million to creators through its platform during the past 18 months.

Preparing brands for AI-powered discovery

Looking ahead, Passionfroot is developing tools that help companies understand how their brands appear in AI-generated answers and measure campaign influence on AI citations. The company also plans to introduce AI-powered features for creators, including content recommendations and monetisation guidance.

The Series A round also included participation from existing investors Creandum, Supernode Global and s16vc. To date, Passionfroot has raised more than $21 million as it continues building tools that connect brands with professional creators in an increasingly AI-driven marketing landscape.
