Circular Unveils Ring 3 Smart Rings With NFC Payments and Vibration Alerts

Circular has unveiled its upcoming Ring 3 series of smart rings, introducing two models that add contactless payments, vibration alerts, and expanded health monitoring features.

The new lineup includes the Ring 3 Pro and Ring 3 Slim, both featuring an integrated NFC chip for contactless payments and built-in vibration alerts for alarms, reminders, health notifications, and guided breathing exercises.

The Ring 3 Pro comes with a slimmer design than its predecessor. It includes advanced health features such as FDA-cleared ECG for atrial fibrillation detection, blood pressure trend tracking, glucose tracking, sleep analysis, and biometric monitoring. The circular says the ring will offer up to 12 days of battery life, compared with 7 days on the previous model.

Circular expands smart ring health features.

The Ring 3 Slim is designed as a lighter and more compact option for users who want essential wellness tracking. It includes features such as sleep monitoring, heart rate tracking, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, skin temperature, and daily activity tracking, with up to 10 days of battery life.

The launch comes as competition in the smart ring market grows following recent releases from companies including Oura and RingConn. Circular said the Slim model is aimed at users who want a more minimal design while keeping features such as health insights and secure NFC payments.

Both Ring 3 models are made from titanium steel, offer 50-meter water resistance, support wireless charging, and will be available in sizes 6 through 14. The rings will come in gold, rose gold, silver, and black finishes, matching options available for the previous Ring 2 model.

Circular has not yet announced pricing or preorder details. The company expects the Ring 3 series to become available in early 2027.
