JustWatch TV Streaming Service Launches With Free and Paid Plans

JustWatch has launched its own streaming platform with 30 content partners, offering free ad-supported movies, a $3.99 monthly subscription and rentals. The service is integrated into its existing website and apps, expanding the company’s role beyond streaming discovery.

The JustWatch TV streaming service launched Oct. 20, 2026, bringing free movies, paid subscriptions and rentals to the popular entertainment discovery platform. The company is expanding beyond helping users find content on other streaming services to offering movies and shows directly through its website and apps.

JustWatch TV launched with 30 content partners, including Paramount, New Regency, Fremantle, Bleecker Street and Vortex Media. Additional partners include Cineverse in the United States, LEONINE Studios in Germany, SND in France and Altitude in the United Kingdom.

The launch builds on JustWatch’s existing audience of approximately 50 million users. As The Hollywood Reporter covered, the move gives the streaming guide a direct role in distributing entertainment.

JustWatch TV Streaming Service Offers Three Viewing Options

JustWatch TV Free provides a selection of movies and television shows supported by advertising. Viewers can watch without paying for a subscription.

The paid tier, JustWatch TV Plus, costs $3.99 per month. A limited-time lifetime subscription is also available for $49.99. The U.S. offering includes more than 300 ad-free titles, though the available catalog varies by country.

Plus subscribers also receive advanced search filters and tools to hide previously watched or disliked titles. They can access a 10% discount on eligible rentals through the JustWatch TV Store.

The rental store initially serves customers in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. It offers newer and popular movies alongside the service’s streaming catalog.

The service is rolling out to international markets, including the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Australia. JustWatch previously announced plans covering 12 markets, although availability may vary during the rollout.

JustWatch Expands Beyond Streaming Discovery

Founded 12 years ago, JustWatch built its business around helping viewers locate movies and television shows across competing platforms. Its guide covers more than 500,000 titles from over 1,500 streaming providers in approximately 140 markets.

The company’s streaming availability data and viewing charts also support roughly 1,400 partner websites and applications. Studios, distributors and advertisers use those insights to understand audience demand and plan marketing campaigns.

Operating its own streaming service gives JustWatch another way to understand viewing preferences. The company plans to use audience demand data and editorial recommendations to determine which titles to offer.

Quentin Carbonell, JustWatch’s senior vice president of global content acquisitions and strategy, said the new service would complement its existing discovery platform. JustWatch intends to continue directing viewers to other streaming providers when appropriate.

JustWatch TV Enters the Low-Cost Streaming Market

The free offering competes with advertising-supported platforms such as Tubi and Plex. Its subscription tier enters a market that includes Roku’s Howdy, an ad-free streaming service priced at $2.99 monthly. Roku has also expanded its offerings through streaming subscription bundles that include Howdy.

JustWatch TV’s initial catalog emphasizes older movies, independent productions and other curated titles rather than relying primarily on expensive new releases.

Viewers can also request movies and shows to add to the platform. JustWatch says those requests will help inform future licensing decisions and content additions.

The company plans to expand its catalog and content partnerships while maintaining its existing streaming guide. The new service allows viewers to go from discovering entertainment to watching selected titles without leaving JustWatch.
