Instacart Sale Talks Send Shares Higher
The reports sent Instacart shares up more than 9% on Friday, Oct. 23. The company’s market capitalization exceeded $13 billion, and its stock was already up about 25% in 2026.
A potential acquisition would come amid growing competition in online grocery delivery. DoorDash and Uber have expanded their grocery services, challenging Instacart’s market position.
Instacart declined to comment on the reports. Discussions remain in the early stages, and there is no guarantee they will result in a transaction.
