Secret Elizabeth Holmes Documentary Debuts at Telluride Film Festival

A new documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes made a surprise debut at the Telluride Film Festival, with attendees discovering the film’s identity only after entering the screening.

The nearly three-hour documentary, titled “You Can See Everything,” was directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim. The film follows Holmes and her husband, Billy Evans, during the 34 days before she reported to federal prison in May 2023 to begin an 11-year sentence for defrauding investors over Theranos’ blood-testing technology.

Rare Access to Holmes Before Prison

The Hollywood Reporter reported that the documentary features extensive access to Holmes and her personal life during that period. Director Nathan Fielder reportedly lived in the couple’s guest house while filming, providing unusual behind-the-scenes access.

Holmes’ Legal Status

Holmes’ appeals seeking to overturn her conviction and reduce her sentence were rejected. She later requested clemency from President Donald Trump, and the request remains listed as pending in the Department of Justice’s official clemency case database.

A24 Release Planned

The documentary has drawn attention for its access to Holmes during a major turning point in her life. A24 is scheduled to release “You Can See Everything” in October.
