Adobe Brings Creative Tools Like Photoshop and Firefly to Slack AI

Adobe is expanding access to its creative software by bringing tools such as Photoshop, Firefly, Adobe Express, Premiere, Acrobat, Illustrator, and Lightroom into Slack. The integration allows users to access Adobe features through Slack’s AI chatbot, Slackbot, and complete creative tasks without leaving workplace conversations.

The company said more than 70 Adobe tools will also become available through the Adobe for Slack MCP app. Users can describe what they want to create or edit, and Slackbot will identify the appropriate Adobe tool to complete the task.

The integration can use context from Slack conversations and Canvas documents to help users create content. Adobe said teams will be able to turn chat information into PDFs, images, and videos, and bring in assets from previous campaigns or the Creative Cloud asset library for editing.

Adobe expands AI-powered creative workflows.

The Slack integration will initially be available to Slack Business+ and Enterprise+ teams. Adobe is also extending its tools into other conversational platforms as companies increasingly bring software features into AI assistants.

Adobe previously introduced a similar integration with ChatGPT, allowing users to create and edit content directly within conversations. The company is also planning a Gemini integration.

Deepti Pradeep, senior director for Agentic AI at Adobe, said users are adopting these integrations for repeatable workflows such as batch image editing and resizing creative assets without switching between applications.

Other creative platforms, including Canva and Figma, are also making their tools available through AI chatbots. Meanwhile, companies such as Anthropic have focused on deeper workplace integrations because team conversations often contain useful context.

Adobe said its combination of creative and productivity tools gives users more flexibility when working across different types of tasks and platforms.

Adobe previously announced its ChatGPT integration as part of its broader effort to make creative capabilities available inside conversational AI experiences.
