YouTube on Tuesday unveiled a set of new features for YouTube Studio, the hub used by more than 30 million creators each month to manage their channels, analyse performance, and track earnings. Announced at the Made on YouTube event, the updates include an AI-powered chatbot for support, an inspiration tab refresh, title A/B testing enhancements, auto dubbing upgrades, likeness detection tools, and expanded collaboration features.

Many of these tools had previously been introduced to select groups of creators, but YouTube says they are now being rolled out to a broader audience.

Among the most notable additions is the likeness detection feature, initially announced in 2024 and extended earlier this year to a small group of creators, including MrBeast. YouTube is now opening the technology to all creators in the YouTube Partner Program, enabling them to detect, flag, and authorise the removal of videos misusing their facial likeness. This aims to help creators safeguard their reputation and prevent audiences from being misled.

Another significant launch is Ask Studio, an AI-powered chatbot built directly into YouTube Studio. The assistant can answer questions such as how a recent video is performing, what viewers are saying about editing styles, and provide actionable recommendations to help creators grow their channels. (This is distinct from a separate “Ask” tool for viewers tested in 2023, which allowed questions about the content of videos.)

The Inspiration tab is also receiving updates. Initially introduced in 2024, the feature uses AI to generate content ideas. The new version provides topic suggestions tailored to each channel, delivers up to nine responses per AI prompt, and explains why those ideas are recommended based on audience behaviour. Creators can mix suggested ideas with their own to develop content strategies.

YouTube is further expanding its A/B testing capabilities. Creators will now be able to test up to three titles and thumbnails for a single video, building on the feature’s limited launch in 2023 and subsequent expansion in 2024. YouTube notes creators have already used the tool more than 15 million times, though that’s small compared to the 20 million videos uploaded daily.

Collaboration tools are also being introduced. Creators will be able to team up with up to five others on one video, which will then be shown to each collaborator’s audience. While this could help broaden reach and engagement, YouTube clarified that all ad revenue from the video will go to the channel that publishes it.

Finally, YouTube is preparing to roll out more advanced lip-syncing for auto dubbing. Currently, YouTube supports dubbing in 20 languages, but the upgrade will sync translated audio with lip movements for a more natural viewing experience. Between December 2024 and August 2025, the company reported that audiences watched dubbed versions of videos more than 75% of the time compared to the originals.
