Anthropic has entered into a partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as the artificial intelligence company looks to accelerate enterprise adoption of its AI models across global industries.

As part of the agreement, TCS will establish a dedicated business unit focused on deploying Anthropic’s AI technologies for its customers. The Indian IT services giant will also receive early access to upcoming Anthropic model releases, enabling it to build expertise around the company’s latest AI capabilities. In addition, TCS plans to provide Anthropic’s Claude AI assistant to a workforce of more than 50,000 employees.

The two companies said they will work together to develop AI-powered solutions for industries including financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and aviation.

The partnership reflects a broader trend among leading AI developers, who have increasingly turned to major IT services firms to strengthen enterprise distribution. Earlier this year, Anthropic announced a similar partnership with Infosys, while OpenAI established relationships with both Infosys and HCLTech to expand enterprise adoption of its technologies.

Beyond customer deployments, the collaboration will extend across several TCS business units and platforms. Diligenta, TCS’s U.K.-based life and pensions business serving more than 22 million customers, plans to use Claude to improve customer service and automate internal processes. Meanwhile, TCS iON, the company’s digital learning platform, will introduce training and certification programs focused on Anthropic’s AI models.

TCS also said it intends to contribute tools and capabilities to Anthropic’s Claude Code ecosystem, including solutions designed for claims adjudication and lending advisory workflows.

The agreement comes as Anthropic continues to expand its presence in India, a market the company has described as its second-largest. Over the past year, Anthropic has opened local operations, hired leadership talent, and strengthened relationships with major Indian technology services firms.

The partnership also arrives at a time when investors and industry observers are questioning how AI could affect India’s $315 billion IT services sector. Shares of TCS and Infosys have declined roughly 34% and 31%, respectively, so far this year, as markets assess the long-term impact of AI on traditional technology services businesses.
