Lovable rolls out its vibe-coding app for iOS and Android users
Lovable has launched its vibe-coding app on iOS and Android, bringing a new approach to creative coding and mobile development workflows.
Lovable has officially launched its no-code AI app-building platform as a mobile app, available on both Apple’s App Store and Google Play. The release comes despite increased scrutiny from Apple around the behaviour and capabilities of so-called vibe-coding applications.
The startup’s new mobile app is designed to appeal to aspiring developers and creators who want to build apps using AI without writing traditional code. It allows users to generate applications via voice or text prompts, enabling them to capture and act on ideas as they arise quickly. Once a user provides input, the system can continue working autonomously, turning those prompts into functional outputs.
Lovable positions its app as a tool for building projects from anywhere, giving users the flexibility to start developing ideas on their phones and continue on other devices later. The platform supports seamless switching between mobile and desktop environments, allowing users to resume work on ongoing projects and receive notifications when builds are completed and ready for review.
The timing of the launch follows recent actions by Apple to clarify what vibe-coding apps are permitted to do within its ecosystem. The company recently blocked updates to certain apps, including Replit and Vibecode, citing violations of App Store guidelines.
Apple’s position does not entirely prohibit vibe-coding applications, but it does restrict apps that dynamically download code or significantly alter their functionality after installation. These limitations are tied to security concerns and the need for Apple’s App Review process to evaluate applications before distribution properly.
The company also temporarily removed the app Anything from the App Store due to similar concerns. Still, it was later reinstated after the developer made the necessary adjustments to comply with platform rules.
To align with these requirements, vibe-coding platforms have adapted their approach. Instead of running generated applications directly within the host app, they now rely on web-based previews. Lovable appears to follow this model, highlighting its ability to convert ideas into functional websites or web applications rather than executing them natively in the mobile app.
