Narwal introduced a new lineup of competent vacuum cleaners at the Consumer Electronics Show, highlighting AI-powered features that monitor pets, locate valuable items, and alert users to misplaced items around the home.

At the centre of the announcement is Narwal’s new flagship robot vacuum, the Flow 2, which features a rounded design and easy-lift water tanks intended to improve everyday cleaning. The device is equipped with two 1080p RGB cameras with a 136-degree field of view, enabling it to map living spaces and recognise a wide range of objects using AI models.

According to Narwal, this technology allows the Flow 2 to identify an effectively unlimited number of objects. The vacuum first attempts to recognise items locally on the device; if no match is found, it sends the data to the cloud for further processing and identification.

Flow 2 introduces three primary operating modes: pet care, baby care, and AI floor tag. In pet care mode, users can define areas where pets typically rest or spend time, allowing the vacuum to clean those zones more effectively. The mode also enables pet monitoring and supports two-way audio, allowing owners to check in on their pets remotely.

In baby care mode, the vacuum automatically switches to a quieter cleaning setting near cribs and notifies users if toys are left out of place. The AI floor tag mode focuses on recognising valuable items such as jewellery. When such objects are detected, the vacuum avoids them and sends alerts to the user.

Narwal said the Flow 2 includes four cleaning modes that identify different types of dirt. If a specific area is found to be particularly dirty, the robot can return to its base station to wash its mop and then re-mop the affected spot. The company added that the Flow 2’s design supports higher hot-water washing temperatures to improve cleaning performance.

In addition to Flow 2, Narwal also showcased a new U50 handheld vacuum that weighs 1.41 kilograms (3.1 pounds) and includes UV-C sterilisation and heat treatment features to remove allergens. The company further demonstrated an unnamed cordless vacuum with a slim design, 360-degree swivel capability, and up to 50 minutes of runtime. This cordless model includes an auto-empty base station that can handle up to 60 days of dust collection.

Together, the new products signal Narwal’s push to integrate AI more deeply into home cleaning devices, expanding their functionality beyond basic vacuuming to include monitoring, object recognition, and smart home awareness.
