Dimension Capital has raised an $800 million third fund, underscoring continued investor interest in startups that combine artificial intelligence, biotechnology and advanced computing. The New York-based venture capital firm announced the new fund on Tuesday, marking a 60% increase from its $500 million second fund raised 18 months ago.

Founded by former Lux Capital partners Zavain Dar and Adam Goulburn alongside former Obvious Ventures investor Nan Li, Dimension Capital focuses on companies operating at the intersection of science and compute. The partners said their belief that founders would increasingly build businesses blending software and biotechnology has developed faster than expected.

Thefirm’ss portfolio includes several high-profile AI and life sciences startups. In 2024, Dimension co-led a $30 million seed round for Chai Discovery, which develops open-source AI foundation models for drug discovery. The startup recently raised $400 million at a reported $3.8 billion valuation.

Dimension Capital also invested in anti-ageing startup New Limit during its Series A financing in January 2025. Earlier this month, the company, co-founded by Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, completed a Series C funding round at a reported $3.1 billion valuation.

Other investments include AI inference company Modal Labs and Anthropic. The firm became an Anthropic shareholder after the AI company acquired its portfolio company, drug discovery platform Coefficient Bio, in a deal reportedly valued at $400 million.
