Snowflake, Databricks challenger ClickHouse hits $15B valuation
ClickHouse has raised $400 million at a $15 billion valuation, strengthening its position as a competitor to Snowflake and Databricks in AI-scale data infrastructure.
Database company ClickHouse has raised $400 million at a valuation of $15 billion, according to a Bloomberg report. The new valuation marks a roughly 2.5x increase from the company’s $6.35 billion valuation in May last year.
Dragoneer Investment Group led the funding round, ClickHouse confirmed. Other participating investors included Bessemer Venture Partners, GIC, Index Ventures, Khosla Ventures, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
ClickHouse, which spun out of Russian search company Yandex in 2021, builds database software designed to handle the massive datasets required by AI agents and data-intensive applications. The company competes directly with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
Alongside the funding announcement, ClickHouse said it has acquired Langfuse, a startup that helps developers track and evaluate the performance of AI agents. Langfuse competes with LangSmith, which is part of the LangChain ecosystem.
ClickHouse’s core database software is open source. The company generates revenue primarily through managed cloud services. It said annual recurring revenue from those services grew more than 250% year over year. ClickHouse’s customer base includes major companies such as Meta, Tesla, Capital One, Lovable, Decagon, and Polymarket.
