Lovable explores acquisitions to expand its vibe-coding platform

Lovable, the AI-powered application-building platform that was most recently valued at $6.6 billion, is actively exploring acquisitions as part of its expansion strategy. On Monday, co-founder and CEO Anton Osika shared on X that the company is seeking “more great teams and startups to join Lovable.”

In his post, Osika highlighted that many individuals currently in key roles at Lovable were founders before joining the company. He noted that the organisation has intentionally built a culture that supports an entrepreneurial mindset, allowing founder-type employees to operate independently and lead initiatives within the company.

Osika also indicated that joining Lovable could provide teams working on promising projects with the opportunity to continue developing their work at a larger scale. He encouraged interested groups to connect with the company’s head of M&A and Partnerships, Théo Daniellot, for further discussions.

The company’s interest in acquiring teams and startups comes at a time when competition in the AI-powered development space is intensifying. Lovable is competing with platforms such as Cursor, Replit, and Bolt, as well as increasingly capable AI models that offer built-in coding functionality. The company’s head of growth, Elena Verna, has acknowledged concerns about competition from major AI labs such as OpenAI and Anthropic.

Despite the competitive pressures, Lovable continues to experience strong growth. The company recently reported that its annual recurring revenue has reached $400 million, doubling from $200 million at the end of 2025. Additionally, the platform is seeing significant activity, with more than 200,000 new vibe-coding projects being created each day.

This is not Lovable’s first move into mergers and acquisitions. In November, the company acquired cloud provider Molnett to strengthen its cloud infrastructure capabilities and support its growing user base.
