AI data startup WisdomAI has raised another $50M, led by Kleiner, Nvidia
WisdomAI, founded by Rubrik co-founder Soham Mazumdar, raises $50 million to reinvent enterprise analytics using AI that avoids hallucinations and delivers proactive, real-time insights.
WisdomAI, the AI-driven analytics startup founded by Rubrik co-founder Soham Mazumdar, has secured a $50 million Series A round led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from NVentures, Nvidia’s venture capital arm.
The raise comes just six months after the company’s $23 million seed round led by Coatue, underscoring investor confidence in its novel approach to enterprise analytics.
Solving Data Chaos — Without Hallucinations
WisdomAI is tackling one of AI’s most significant business problems: how to answer real-world questions from messy, unstructured, or incomplete data without producing hallucinated results.
Instead of using large language models (LLMs) to write complete answers — which can lead to fabricated outputs — WisdomAI uses LLMs only to generate queries that retrieve accurate data from company warehouses.
“If the LLM hallucinates, it just writes a bad query, not a false answer,” Mazumdar explained.
The platform is built on what the company calls its “enterprise context layer,” which maps how data relates across an organisation’s ecosystem. That allows non-technical users to ask questions in plain English, such as:
“How many customers are in our pipeline, and what’s stopping them from closing this quarter?”
From Rubrik Roots to Rapid Adoption
Founded in late 2024, WisdomAI has already scaled from two to 40 enterprise customers. Current clients include Cisco, ConocoPhillips, Patreon, and Descope.
Mazumdar said usage within these enterprises is accelerating fast.
“One customer started with 10 seats and expanded to 450 — that’s almost their entire company,” he said.
All of WisdomAI’s co-founders previously worked with Mazumdar at Rubrik, bringing deep expertise in data security and enterprise storage systems.
Making Analytics Proactive
Beyond answering questions, WisdomAI has recently added agentic capabilities — intelligent agents that proactively alert users to significant events in real-time.
“I built an agent that watches our product metrics and ticket data,” Mazumdar said. “It doesn’t just send hourly reports — it notifies me when something interesting happens.”
The goal, he added, is to transform analytics from static dashboards to living, dynamic insights that anticipate user needs rather than waiting for manual queries.
A New Era for Enterprise Intelligence
WisdomAI’s model is gaining traction in a crowded market of AI-powered data tools by focusing on accuracy, enterprise context, and proactive intelligence — three pillars essential to business adoption.
As organisations grapple with data complexity across cloud systems, the company’s approach to using LLMs safely within guardrails may establish a new standard for how enterprises deploy generative AI responsibly.
