Pinterest Launches AI-Powered Restyle Feature to Redesign Rooms Virtually
Pinterest launches Restyle, an AI feature that lets users redesign rooms, test decor ideas, and visualise changes in their own spaces.
Pinterest is introducing an AI-powered feature called Restyle that lets users virtually redesign their rooms using photos of their own spaces. The tool is designed to help people visualise furniture, decor, colours, and different interior styles before making changes.
Restyle is launching in beta for users in the U.S. and Canada and is powered by Pinterest Intelligence, the company’s AI technology platform. Pinterest said its AI infrastructure combines Nvidia technology, open-source models, and its own systems to improve visual search and discovery experiences.

With Restyle, users can upload an image of their room and ask the AI to add furniture, wall art, accessories, plants, lighting changes, or new paint colours. They can also modify individual items in the image, remove objects, or transform the space into styles such as bohemian, industrial, or whimsical.
The feature connects Pinterest’s inspiration tools with shopping by allowing users to visualise saved ideas and products in their own homes. Pinterest expects this type of experience to help users move from discovering designs to making purchasing decisions.
Pinterest introduced Restyle during its annual Pinterest Presents event, where it also announced new tools for advertisers. The feature is currently available as an early preview and will expand more broadly next month.
