Anthropic Reportedly Seeking $10 Billion Raise at $350 Billion Valuation
Anthropic is reportedly preparing to raise $10 billion at a $350 billion valuation, nearly doubling its value just months after its last funding round.
Anthropic is preparing to raise a new $10 billion funding round that would value the artificial intelligence company at approximately $350 billion, according to reporting from The Wall Street Journal. TechCrunch has independently confirmed both the fundraising effort and the valuation, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The potential round would mark a sharp increase in Anthropic’s valuation. Just three months ago, the company closed a $13 billion Series F financing at a $183 billion valuation. In March, Anthropic raised $3.5 billion at a $61.5 billion valuation, underscoring the rapid pace at which investor enthusiasm for the company has grown.
According to the Journal, the new round is expected to be led by Coatue Management and GIC, citing people familiar with the transaction. The financing is anticipated to close in the coming weeks, though the final size of the round could still change.
The reported fundraising would be separate from the $15 billion investment commitment recently made by Nvidia and Microsoft. That arrangement, described as a “circular” deal, would involve Anthropic purchasing up to $30 billion in computing capacity from Microsoft Azure, powered by Nvidia’s chips.
The new capital raise comes as Anthropic continues to gain traction among developers, particularly with Claude Code, an automated coding product built on Claude Opus 4.5.
It also coincides with preparations for a potential initial public offering later this year, a move Anthropic may pursue alongside its primary competitor, OpenAI. OpenAI is reportedly in discussions to raise $100 billion at a valuation that could reach $830 billion.
Anthropic declined to comment on the reported financing.
