Apple is expanding its App Store subscription offerings by allowing developers to partner to create subscription bundles that give users access to multiple apps at a discounted price.

The feature was announced at WWDC 2026 as an enhancement to Apple’s App Bundles program. Previously, developers could only bundle apps from their own portfolios. Under the new system, developers can collaborate with other app creators to offer combined subscription packages.

Apple says the goal is to provide users with greater value while helping developers reach new audiences and improve customer retention. Instead of subscribing to several apps separately, users will be able to access bundled services at a lower overall cost.

The approach follows a strategy that has become increasingly popular in the streaming industry, in which companies bundle multiple subscriptions to boost value and keep customers engaged. Apple believes similar benefits can apply to apps.

For example, developers of creative tools could create bundles that combine camera apps, photo and video editing software, and content publishing platforms. Productivity-focused developers could also partner to offer packages that include tools such as calendars, task managers, and other workplace applications.

Apple is also introducing a new category called “Suites,” which are subscription packages available only as bundled offerings and not as standalone purchases.

The update gives developers more flexibility in how they package and sell their services while offering users a more affordable way to access groups of related apps. As competition across the App Store continues to grow, the new bundling options could create additional opportunities for developers to expand their subscription businesses through strategic partnerships.
