Peacock is raising prices across all of its streaming plans, with monthly increases of $1 to $3 depending on the subscription tier.

The ad-supported Select plan is increasing from $7.99 to $8.99 per month. Premium will rise from $10.99 to $12.99, while the ad-free Premium Plus plan will increase from $16.99 to $19.99 per month.

Peacock price increases start in August

The new rates take effect Aug. 18 for new and returning subscribers. Existing customers will begin paying the higher prices on their first billing date after Sept. 17.

Annual subscribers with active plans will keep their current rates until their subscriptions expire. Customers using promotional offers will similarly retain their existing prices until the promotion ends.

Peacock said the changes will help it continue investing in its viewing experience and content while remaining competitive in the streaming market. The increase is the service’s fourth price hike in four years, following a $3 increase that took effect in July 2025.

Peacock adds AI features and interactive games

The higher prices arrive as Peacock expands beyond traditional streaming features. The service recently added Bravoverse, an AI-powered vertical-video feed featuring clips from franchises including “The Real Housewives” and “Vanderpump Rules.”

Peacock is also developing a vertical viewing option for live sports that uses real-time AI-driven cropping to optimise games for smartphone screens. The streamer has separately launched two mystery games, “Law & Order: Clue Hunter” and “Public Eye,” developed by AI gaming startup Wolf Games.

NBCUniversal also announced last month that Peacock Premium will be offered to YouTube Premium subscribers in the U.S. beginning in early 2027.

Peacock reaches 48 million subscribers

Peacock launched in 2020 and reported its first profitable quarter last month. The streaming service said its subscriber base had grown to 48 million, with programming including the NBA playoffs, the FIFA World Cup and “Love Island” contributing to growth.

The latest increases continue a broader pattern of higher subscription prices across major streaming platforms, including Netflix and HBO Max. In contrast, Peacock continues adding content and new features to its service.
