Whoop opens blood-testing service to what it says is a 350,000-person waitlist
Whoop officially launches its Advanced Labs blood-testing service after drawing a 350,000-person waitlist. The $199+ annual plan integrates Quest Diagnostics results with wearable data for personalised wellness insights.
Fitness wearable maker Whoop has officially launched Whoop Advanced Labs, a blood-testing service designed to complement its fitness tracking platform. The company says more than 350,000 people were on the waitlist since the service was first previewed in May.
Whoop Advanced Labs enables users to access comprehensive blood screenings through Quest Diagnostics, covering a wide range of health markers, including calcium, white blood cell count, and other vital metrics. The results integrate directly with data from Whoop’s wearable device, which tracks sleep, activity, blood pressure, and respiratory rate to deliver more personalised and data-driven health insights.
The service costs $199 for one annual test, $349 for two, or $599 for four per year, in addition to the Whoop membership, which ranges between $200 and $350 annually depending on the strap model and features.
Whoop joins a growing wave of wellness startups offering affordable, subscription-based blood testing aimed at improving proactive health management. Similar companies include Function Health, founded by Dr Mark Hyman, which charges $500 annually for quarterly testing, and Fountain Life, a longevity-focused startup founded by Tony Robbins and Peter Diamandis, which offers a premium health subscription starting at $20,000 a year.
With its expansion into health diagnostics, Whoop aims to become more than a fitness tracker — positioning itself as a comprehensive wellness and performance platform for data-driven health optimisation.n
