Meta is expanding its subscription strategy with new AI-focused plans that give users broader access to AI tools across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The company introduced Meta One, a subscription service designed to offer expanded AI usage, creative features and additional premium tools. The plans are part of Meta’s broader effort to generate revenue from its AI investments while adding paid features across its major platforms.

Meta One adds AI-powered creative tools

The new consumer plans include Core at $7.99 per month and Premium at $19.99 per month. Both include existing subscription benefits from Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, while offering different levels of access to AI features.

Subscribers can use AI tools including Muse Image and Muse Video for generating images and videos, along with creative features such as Instagram’s AI-powered Restyle tool for editing Stories.

Meta said AI usage limits may vary depending on factors including country, app and system conditions. The company has not disclosed exact limits for each subscription tier.

Meta expands paid features for creators and businesses

Alongside consumer AI plans, Meta is introducing subscription tiers for businesses and creators. The options include Essential, Advanced, Expert and Max plans, with pricing starting at $14.99 per month for Essential and increasing based on features and usage.

The business plans include tools such as Meta Business Agent access, verified badges, customer response features, analytics, scheduling tools, additional linked devices and expanded messaging capabilities.

Meta also plans to add more features focused on marketing, business operations, content creation and optimisation. The company said Edits Plus, a premium version of its content creation app, will later become part of Meta One with additional storage and AI assistant access.

Subscriptions gain momentum across Meta apps

Meta’s latest AI subscriptions follow the company’s earlier introduction of paid tiers for Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. Data from Appfigures tracking showed rising revenue from Instagram and Facebook subscription offerings after their rollout.

The subscription push comes as Meta continues investing heavily in artificial intelligence, including efforts around its Muse AI models and other generative AI systems.

With Meta One and its expanded business plans, Meta is creating additional paid options for consumers, creators and companies while building new ways to monetise AI-powered features across its platforms.
