Meta announced on Thursday that it is rolling out a new AI-powered creator assistant on Facebook designed to provide content creators with personalised guidance based on their content style, audience engagement, community activity, and growth objectives.

The new tool is intended to simplify the way creators analyse their performance on the platform. Rather than spending time navigating dashboards, reports, and analytics charts, creators can ask the AI assistant direct questions and receive immediate insights. For example, users can ask questions such as “When is the best time for me to post?” or “What are people saying in my comments?” and receive tailored responses based on their account activity.

Because the assistant operates in a conversational format, creators can continue the discussion with follow-up questions to gain deeper insights into specific topics. They may, for instance, explore how their audience demographics have changed over time, identify trends in engagement, or better understand what types of content resonate most with their followers. The recommendations are personalised and based on each creator’s presence on Facebook, helping them discover ways to improve their overall performance.

In addition to performance analysis, the AI assistant is also designed to support content ideation. The tool can suggest new concepts and creative directions by analysing current trends and popular topics. It may recommend incorporating trending audio clips into content or creating posts tied to major cultural events and conversations that are gaining traction across the platform.

The assistant is initially being made available to creators in the United States, Canada, and India. Meta said it plans to expand access to additional markets over time while also introducing new capabilities to enhance the experience further.

With the introduction of the AI creator assistant, Meta aims to strengthen Facebook’s appeal among creators as competition for creator attention intensifies. Platforms such as TikTok and YouTube remain strong rivals, and Meta is looking for ways to keep creators engaged and actively producing content within its own ecosystem.

The company also believes that by helping creators discover fresh content ideas and better understand audience behaviour, the tool could encourage more frequent posting. Increased creator activity could ultimately contribute to higher levels of engagement across Facebook.

Another advantage for Meta is that the integrated assistant reduces the need for creators to rely on external services for insights or content strategy brainstorming. Instead of turning to third-party AI tools such as ChatGPT or other productivity platforms, creators can access similar assistance directly within Facebook, keeping more activity inside Meta’s environment.

Alongside the launch of the creator assistant, Meta also announced an expansion of its AI-powered translation capabilities on Facebook. The company is introducing support for additional languages, including Arabic, Bahasa Indonesian, French, Thai, and Vietnamese.

The translation technology is designed to make creator content accessible to broader audiences around the world. With AI-translated Reels, creators can have their videos automatically translated into different languages while preserving the original tone, style, and voice. Meta first introduced this feature last year as part of its effort to help creators reach international audiences and reduce language barriers that can limit content discovery.

Creators can also take advantage of a lip-syncing feature that aligns translated speech with their original mouth movements. This helps create a more natural viewing experience and makes translated videos appear more authentic to audiences in different regions.

According to Meta, adoption of AI-translated content continues to grow. The company says that more than half a billion Facebook users are now watching AI-translated videos every week.

With the new creator assistant and expanded translation capabilities, Meta is investing in AI tools to help creators better understand their audiences, develop new content ideas, and connect with viewers across languages and markets.
