While Siri AI dominated the spotlight at WWDC 2026, iOS 27 also includes several smaller features Apple did not spend much time highlighting on stage. Here are some of the notable additions:

  • Full-screen widgets can now be added to the Home Screen, making it easier to view calendars, news, and other information at a glance.

  • Separate volume controls are available for alarms, timers, alerts, and system sounds.

  • Faster copy-and-paste lets users paste copied text or screenshots directly from the keyboard, similar to how one-time passcode suggestions work.

  • Weather app updates include a new Highlights section and quicker switching between Conditions, Precipitation, and Wind views.

  • Message customisation allows users to show or hide the voice recording and dictation buttons.

  • Drawing in Messages lets users create and send sketches, notes, or diagrams.

  • Camera controls have been redesigned for easier access to depth, grid, and level settings.

  • Emoji keyboard now features a small scroll bar for easier navigation.

  • Timer controls in Control Centre include a redesigned slider interface.

  • Find My improvements allow users to temporarily hide their location from specific people without notifying them.

  • Custom Wallet passes can now be created directly by users.

  • CarPlay audio scrubbing makes it easier to navigate through podcasts and audio content.

  • Manual iCloud syncing is now available for files, photos, and health data.

  • Calendar enhancements can detect holidays and ask whether scheduled alarms should remain active.

Although these updates are relatively small compared with Siri AI, they bring a variety of improvements, convenience, privacy, and customisation, making iOS 27 more useful in everyday use.
