The issue gained attention after YouTubers Coffeezilla and penguinz0 said a security researcher informed them that their personal information from Trump Mobile orders was accessible online. They claimed both the researcher and the creators attempted to alert the company before the exposure became public.

Trump Mobile said it is continuing to assess the situation and is determining whether affected customers need to be formally notified. While the company maintains there was no direct compromise of its internal systems, the investigation remains ongoing as officials work to understand how the customer information became publicly accessible.

The incident serves as another reminder of the risks associated with third-party service providers, where security weaknesses can expose customer data even when a company’s own systems remain unaffected.
