Amazon Music teams up with Bandsintown to add concert listings
Amazon Music partners with Bandsintown to integrate live concert listings, helping users discover nearby shows, artists, and tour updates in one place.
Amazon Music announced today that it is partnering with live event discovery platform Bandsintown to integrate concert listings directly into its music streaming experience.
Through a Bandsintown for Artists integration, users will now be able to discover upcoming live shows on artists’ profile pages within Amazon Music. The feature also allows listeners to click “buy ticket” buttons that redirect them to Bandsintown to purchase tickets. Artists are required to link their Amazon Music profiles to Bandsintown for event synchronisation to begin.
In addition, Amazon Music will automatically display events from venues, festivals, and promoters that use Bandsintown https://l.gourl.es/l/b46f35a1f5f5ad1454c4d26922e0b3870a50b136?u=8501931Pro, expanding the range of live event discovery across its platform.
“Live music is one of the most powerful ways fans connect with the artists they love—something we’ve seen firsthand through the livestream performances we’ve brought to fans worldwide,” said Karolina Joynathsing, director of Business Development at Amazon Music, in a statement. “That’s why we’re thrilled to team up with Bandsintown, so fans can now discover upcoming shows from the artists they love on Amazon Music, alongside streaming their music, catching exclusive livestreams, shopping merch, and more, all in one place.”
The rollout of the new feature has already begun and is expected to be fully available on Amazon Music this spring across both iOS and Android applications, the company confirmed.
Bandsintown stated that its ecosystem includes more than 700,000 artists, as well as over 65,000 venues and festivals that use its Bandsintown Pro marketing and promotion tools. The platform also reports over 100 million registered users, though it did not disclose how many of them are active.
This is not the first collaboration between the two companies. In 2023, Bandsintown partnered with Amazon Music to enable artists to sell merchandise through the streaming platform.
Amazon Music is entering a competitive space for concert discovery features. Spotify has been developing similar capabilities for years, while Apple Music partnered with Ticketmaster and Bandsintown in March to power its own live events feature. Last year, SoundCloud also integrated with Ticketmaster to allow artists to list live events directly on its platform. With this latest update, Amazon Music is strengthening its push beyond streaming into live-event discovery, aiming to create a more unified music-and-concert experience for users.
