Amazon-owned Bee has introduced two personal AI devices that capture conversations and organise important information into summaries, reminders, and tasks. The $74.99 Bee Frontier can be worn on the wrist or attached to clothing, while the $99.99 Bee Eclipse is a credit-card-sized device that magnetically attaches to a smartphone.

Announced October 15, the products are Bee’s first hardware releases since Amazon acquired the company in 2025. Both aim to make AI-assisted note-taking more accessible without requiring users to document everyday conversations manually.

Bee Frontier and Eclipse Offer Different Designs

The Bee Frontier features dual microphones with noise filtering, IP67 water resistance, USB-C charging and up to seven days of battery life. Available in Onyx, Lavender and Sage, it is designed for regular use throughout the day.

Bee Eclipse offers a slimmer alternative that attaches directly to a phone. It will be available in Silver, Midnight, Honey and Blush. Both devices feature a single control button and an indicator light that signals recording activity.

Frontier is available now through Amazon, while Eclipse is expected to follow. The company has not announced a specific release date for the smaller device.

AI Memory, Productivity Tools and Alexa Integration

Bee processes conversations to identify useful details, such as appointments, decisions and follow-up tasks. Through its companion apps, it can prepare lecture notes, summarise meetings, and organise personal reminders.

Integrations with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook let users draft emails and manage schedules. Optional connections to Amazon.com and Alexa+ add shopping assistance and voice access to saved information. Bee also supports photo uploads and Apple HealthKit data for additional context.

Free users receive conversation summaries and 14 days of memory. The $11.99 monthly Bee Pro subscription adds unlimited conversation summaries, suggested tasks, daily memories, a personal AI assistant and additional integrations. Amazon has also redesigned Bee’s mobile app and introduced a desktop application.

Pricing and Competition

Bee competes with established AI recording devices, including Plaud’s note-taking products and the Pocket AI recorder. Plaud offers devices for meeting transcription and professional workflows, while Pocket’s $129 device focuses on capturing conversations and organising information.

Bee’s lower hardware prices provide a more affordable entry point, although the ongoing Pro subscription could affect its long-term value. Buyers should consider which features they need before committing to a paid plan.

Privacy and Conversation Security

Amazon says Bee processes audio in real time and deletes the recordings rather than storing raw audio. Conversation transcripts are encrypted using device-controlled keys, which the company says prevent unauthorised access, including by Amazon employees, unless users deliberately share the information.

Alexa integration is optional, and users can delete transcripts and summaries. However, recording conversations involving other people still raises questions about consent and privacy, particularly in workplaces, classrooms and healthcare settings.

Bee Frontier and Eclipse reflect Amazon’s effort to make personal AI more useful beyond smartphones and smart speakers. Their success will depend on the accuracy of their summaries, the reliability of their integrations and whether users find sufficient value in the paid features. With prices starting at $74.99, both devices offer a relatively affordable way to get AI-assisted personal organisation.
