Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil HomeView, a new Siri-powered smart home hub, on Tuesday, October 13. The device will feature a built-in display and Apple’s A18 chip, allowing users to control connected home devices through a central interface.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, HomeView will come in two versions: a countertop model and a wall-mounted option. The announcement would follow years of reports about Apple’s plans to develop a dedicated smart home display.

Apple Expands Its Smart Home Hardware Plans

HomeView represents a renewed push into smart home hardware after Apple’s HomeKit platform and HomePod speakers struggled to gain traction. The dedicated display would bring Siri and connected device controls into one interface, with mounting options suited to different rooms.

Apple is also reportedly preparing updated versions of the Apple TV streaming box and HomePod mini. Apple is expected to announce both devices alongside HomeView as part of a broader home hardware refresh.

Gurman has also reported that Apple plans to announce a partnership with LG to develop a smart lock, thermostat and doorbell. These products would complement Apple’s existing connected home ecosystem.

Apple has not officially confirmed the HomeView announcement or its specifications. The reported October 13 unveiling would provide the first official details about the device and Apple’s latest smart home plans.
