AI Travel Platform Fora Becomes a Unicorn After $60 Million Funding Round
AI-powered travel platform Fora has secured $60 million in Series D funding, reaching a $1 billion valuation as it expands its AI assistant and travel advisor network.
AI-powered travel platform Fora has reached unicorn status after raising $60 million in a Series D funding round led by Forerunner and Tactile Ventures. The latest investment values the company at $1 billion and brings its total funding to $138.5 million, with participation from existing investors including Insight Partners and Thrive Capital.
Founded in 2021, Fora operates a platform that enables people to become travel advisors by providing tools for client communication, itinerary planning and booking management. The platform also connects travellers with advisors who help organise trips ranging from family holidays to honeymoons and international getaways.
The company plans to use part of the new funding to expand its AI assistant, Via, which helps travel advisors complete time-consuming administrative work such as destination research and itinerary creation. Fora says its goal is to improve productivity by allowing advisors to spend more time building client relationships rather than by replacing human expertise with artificial intelligence.
According to the company, advisors using the platform have booked more than $3 billion in travel since its launch, with most of its advisor community being new to the travel industry. Fora also intends to use the investment to hire more staff and expand into additional travel categories, including cruises and flights.
The funding reflects growing investor confidence in AI-powered productivity tools that support professionals rather than replace them, as travel technology companies continue exploring ways to combine artificial intelligence with personalised customer service.
