Google has officially announced that its annual Made by Google launch event will take place on August 12 in New York City, where the company is expected to introduce its latest Pixel devices and other hardware updates.

Many are hoping this year’s presentation will offer a more polished experience than last year’s, which featured appearances by Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Curry, the Jonas Brothers, and several other celebrities.

Ahead of the launch, speculation surrounding the upcoming Pixel 11 lineup continues to grow. According to invitation emails shared by publications including The Verge and Bloomberg, the new smartphones are expected to receive several design refinements. Among the most talked-about changes is the introduction of a new gold colour option for the Pixel 11.

Additional leaks suggest that the standard Pixel 11 could feature slimmer bezels and a refined black camera bar. Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 Pro is rumoured to have a slightly thinner design than the previous generation. Reports have also suggested that the Pixel 11 Pro Fold may arrive with a redesigned camera bump and a lighter overall build compared to its predecessor.

Not all of the rumours have been positive. One report claims that Google may remove the 128GB storage option from the new lineup, making 256GB the entry-level configuration. If accurate, the move could result in higher starting prices for the latest devices.

Google held last year’s Made by Google event on August 20, where it introduced the Pixel 10 series, unveiled new AI-powered features, and announced additional products, including a new foldable Pixel smartphone, the Pixel Watch 4, and the second-generation A-Series wireless earbuds.
