Meta Introduces Pocket, a New Vibe-Coded Mobile Gaming App
Meta has quietly launched Pocket, a vibe-coded mobile gaming app designed to help users discover, play, and share casual games through personalised recommendations and social features.
Meta has quietly entered the AI gaming space with the launch of Pocket. This app lets users create small interactive games and applications simply by entering AI prompts. The software stems from Meta’s acquisition of the team behind the AI-powered gaming platform Gizmo earlier this year. Pocket describes itself as “a creative platform for making and sharing gizmos,” with “gizmos” referring to the interactive experiences users can build and share. The app also features a scrolling discovery feed where people can explore and play with creations made by others.
Screenshots available on Google Play reveal that Pocket closely resembles the original Gizmo application, which is still listed on app stores. Like its predecessor, Pocket allows users to generate interactive experiences using AI-powered written prompts and includes a feed designed to help users discover community-created content.
Alessandro Paluzzi, a reverse engineer well known for uncovering upcoming apps and software features, was the first to spot Pocket’s release and shared a screenshot of its Google Play listing on X earlier today. However, data from app intelligence firm Appfigures indicates that Pocket actually became available on both Apple’s App Store and Google Play on June 29, 2026. Because the application is still very new, Appfigures said it has not yet collected enough data to determine how many downloads it has received.
Following Paluzzi’s discovery, several publications, including Business Insider and Investing.com, also reported on the launch. Meta has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the new application.
Pocket represents another step in Meta’s broader strategy to make AI-powered creative tools more accessible to everyday users. The company has already introduced AI image generation through its Meta AI app, AI-powered video creation through its Vibes application, and a range of AI features across its social media platforms. Meta has also integrated AI capabilities into Edits, its video editing app designed for content creators.
Because Meta has not formally announced the release of Pocket, it appears the company may still be treating the application as an early-stage experiment while evaluating user interest and feedback.
Its predecessor, Gizmo, had already built a sizeable audience before the transition. According to Appfigures, the app recorded approximately 635,000 lifetime installs across iOS and Google Play while maintaining a 98% positive user sentiment rating.
