Replit surges to $9B valuation just six months after reaching $3B
Replit’s valuation has jumped to $9 billion only six months after reaching $3 billion, reflecting strong investor demand for AI-powered developer platforms.
Vibe-coding startup Replit has reached yet another major funding milestone. On Wednesday, the company announced that it had raised a $400 million Series D round at a $9 billion valuation, with previous investor Georgian Partners leading the financing. Other investors participating in the round include G Squared, Prysm Capital, Coatue, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, Accenture Ventures, Okta Ventures, and Databricks Ventures.
Founder and CEO Amjad Masad also said in a post on X that the company’s backers include angel investors Shaquille O’Neal and Jared Leto.
The new valuation comes just months after the startup reached a $3 billion valuation in September, when it raised a $250 million round. At that time, Replit said it was on pace to reach $150 million in annualised revenue. The company has not shared updated ARR figures, but it told Forbes it aims to reach $1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of the year.
Although Replit’s recent momentum has been rapid, Masad previously said that the company spent nine years grinding to get here and that a controversial shift away from serving professional developers and toward non-programmers ultimately helped it find its footing.
