Samsung to hold its Galaxy S26 event on February 25

Samsung has officially distributed invitations for its next Galaxy Unpacked event, which will take place on February 25 in San Francisco. During the presentation, the company is widely expected to unveil its new Galaxy S26 smartphone lineup.

Artificial intelligence capabilities are once again positioned as a central theme of the launch. Samsung indicated that the new devices are “built to simplify everyday interactions, inspire confidence and make Galaxy AI feel seamlessly integrated from the moment it’s in hand.” This messaging signals a continued push to embed AI-driven tools more deeply into the core smartphone experience rather than treating them as standalone features.

One of the most notable innovations teased ahead of the event is a new privacy display feature anticipated to debut on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The functionality is designed to shield specific portions of the screen from nearby viewers, helping protect sensitive information in public settings. For example, users can obscure the notification panel or other selected areas to prevent others from viewing personal alerts or private data.

Industry reports indicate that the flagship model in the series will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 processor in the United States and China markets. In other global regions, Samsung is expected to utilise its in-house Exynos 2600 chipset. While processor differences have historically influenced performance comparisons — with Snapdragon chips often leading in benchmark scores and thermal management — the performance gap between Snapdragon and Exynos processors has narrowed considerably in recent generations.

According to reports from the tech publication SamMobile, the Galaxy S26 is expected to include a 5,100 mAh battery, a specification indicating battery capacity measured in milliamp-hours. The device is also expected to support 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging, potentially offering faster charging than its predecessor.

Beyond smartphones, Samsung is also likely to introduce the next iteration of its wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4. The updated earbuds are expected to feature a revised design. The previous generation sparked frequent comparisons to Apple’s AirPods, and the new version may aim to establish a more distinct visual identity while maintaining integration with Samsung’s ecosystem.

The Galaxy Unpacked event will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, 1 p.m. Eastern Time, and 7 p.m. Central European Time. Viewers will be able to watch the live stream via Samsung’s official website as well as through its YouTube channel.

To generate early interest, Samsung is offering promotional incentives tied to pre-registration. Consumers who register their interest in advance will receive a $30 promotional credit that can be applied to other Samsung products, even if they ultimately decide not to purchase the new devices. For those who boe-register and later place an orderor one of the upcoming products, Samsung will increase the promotional credit to $150. Notably, this enhanced offer does not require a device trade-in.

With AI integration, upgraded hardware, and new privacy-focused features expected to headline the presentation, the February 25 event is set to outline Samsung’s next steps in the competitive flagship smartphone market.
