Second and last chance for innovators to win scaling perks: Belden extends nomination window
Belden has extended its nomination window, giving innovators a final opportunity to apply for scaling perks, industry exposure, and growth support through its latest innovation initiative.
The hunt for the next generation of breakthrough innovation is still on. Following strong interest and a wave of early entries, Belden has extended the nomination period for the 2026 Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award through February 27, 2026, giving innovators extra time to showcase their technologies to the industry.
What is the Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award?
Named for Joseph C. Belden, a key figure in the evolution of connectivity and communications, the award spotlights emerging companies and high-impact solutions driving real change across connected industries. Spanning digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, industrial automation, and intelligent operations, the program is designed to recognise technologies that deliver clear, measurable results in real-world environments.
What is Belden looking for?
A major theme for 2026 is IT/OT convergence, with special attention on solutions that connect information technology with operational systems. As organisations modernise and link physical assets to digital platforms, technologies that connect these worlds are increasingly central to efficiency, resilience, and long-term growth.
What do finalists receive?
Finalists receive far more than a title. Selected innovators gain increased industry exposure, access to executive audiences, and customised co-marketing opportunities designed to raise visibility and speed adoption. Winners will be announced live at the Belden Innovation Summit, taking place June 9–11, 2026, in Detroit, where industry leaders will meet to explore the technologies shaping what’s next.
What does it take to be eligible?
Eligibility is open to small and midsize companies with revenue under $500 million, offering products launched on or after July 1, 2024, and supported by at least one customer deployment.
With the extended deadline now set for February 27, innovators have another chance to showcase their work and become part of a growing group of companies helping define the future of connected industries.
