Apple Expected to Launch New iPad Pro and MacBook Pro Models in Early 2027
Apple is reportedly preparing new iPad Pro and MacBook Pro models for an early 2027 launch. Discover the expected upgrades, new chips, release timeline, and what the latest reports reveal.
Apple is reportedly preparing to introduce several new iPad Pro models along with a new MacBook Pro during the first half of next year.
According to a Bloomberg report, the company is developing four versions of its next-generation iPad Pro, each expected to feature faster processors. Apple is also reportedly working on a new entry-level MacBook Pro, internally codenamed K104. The report further states that Apple is aiming to launch its first M7 processor during the same timeframe.
The most recent iPad Pro lineup was introduced in October last year. More recently, in March, Apple unveiled a new premium MacBook Pro alongside the more affordable MacBook Neo. However, the MacBook Neo is powered by the A18 chip, which was originally developed for the iPhone. The upcoming MacBook is expected to be a full-featured MacBook Pro rather than another budget-oriented model.
The reported roadmap comes as speculation continues to mount around several other products Apple is believed to be developing, including a possible foldable iPhone. At the same time, the company is preparing for an eventual leadership transition beyond Tim Cook’s tenure as CEO while also dealing with ongoing supply chain challenges. Cook has previously said those issues have forced Apple to increase prices across parts of its product lineup.
Some of those price increases have been significant. For example, the MacBook Pro configuration with 1TB of storage recently rose in price from $1,699 to $1,999. If Apple is indeed planning to introduce more affordable MacBook and iPad options, the timing could help offset concerns over rising prices while offering consumers additional choices across its product portfolio.
