Gwyneth Paltrow Reportedly Plans Private Dinner Honouring Sam Altman
Gwyneth Paltrow reportedly plans a private Hamptons dinner honouring OpenAI CEO Sam Altman on Aug. 29, highlighting her growing ties to the AI investing space.
Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly planning a private dinner in the Hamptons to honour OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, adding another connection between the Goop founder and the rapidly expanding AI industry.
Puck reported that Paltrow is sending invitations for a “private, off-the-record” dinner at her home on Aug. 29. The gathering is expected to honour Altman. However, neither Goop nor OpenAI had publicly confirmed the event in the original reporting.
Paltrow has growing ties to AI investing.
Beyond acting and Goop, Paltrow is involved in venture capital through Kinship Ventures, which she launched with Moj Mahdara. Axios reported in 2023 that the firm was seeking $75 million for its debut fund. The source material says it remains unclear whether that fund ultimately closed.
Kinship has invested in OpenAI and other AI-related companies, including the coding platform Lovable and the AI marketing company Nectar Social. Paltrow has also become increasingly public about her interest in artificial intelligence and how the technology can be used in business.
Business Insider recently detailed Paltrow’s growing involvement with AI, including her investments and use of AI tools within Goop.
Goop is getting physically closer to the AI industry
The connection also extends to real estate. CoStar reported that Goop Kitchen signed a lease for space on the ground floor of 405 Howard St. in San Francisco, part of Anthropic’s expanding office footprint.
If the Hamptons dinner proceeds as reported, it would add another high-profile link between Paltrow’s consumer lifestyle businesses, venture investments and Silicon Valley’s AI leadership.
