AI security startup Reco has raised $55 million as enterprises increasingly look for ways to discover, monitor, and secure the growing number of AI agents operating across business systems.

The funding comes as companies face a new challenge: “AI sprawl,” with organisations deploying more autonomous agents that can access applications, data, and internal tools. Security teams are now looking for ways to understand what these agents can access and how they are being used.

AI Agent Security Becomes a New Enterprise Challenge

Several startups and cybersecurity companies are building tools to secure AI agents. Some solutions evaluate the tools agents use, while others focus on controlling data access, monitoring activity, and detecting unauthorised AI deployments.

Companies including CrowdStrike are also developing security products designed to detect and respond to risks involving AI agents. Other startups are focused on helping businesses govern AI usage and manage agent permissions.

Reco has expanded beyond its earlier focus on mapping and securing SaaS and AI platforms. The company now uses a context graph approach to connect AI agents with applications, users, accounts, and permissions.

Reco CEO and co-founder Ofer Klein said companies are deploying AI agents faster than they can track them. The company says its platform has identified thousands of previously unknown agents at some enterprise customers.

Reco Expands Platform and Raises New Funding

The latest $55 million funding round builds on Reco’s previous $30 million Series B investment. AT&T, Forestay, and Quadrille Capital participated in the funding, with AT&T investing through its venture arm.

Reco previously raised $30 million in a Series B round as demand increased for security tools covering SaaS applications and AI systems.

The company said it now has more than 100 customers, with financial services organisations representing a significant portion of its business. Reco plans to use the new funding for hiring, sales expansion, partnerships, and customer support.

Building Visibility Into AI Agent Access

Reco’s platform integrates with more than 280 applications and is designed to help security teams understand how AI agents interact with company systems. The company said it can inspect prompts and tool calls while using browser and network signals to identify additional agent activity.

With the latest investment, Reco has raised $140 million in total as competition grows among companies building security solutions for enterprise AI adoption.
